Apocalypse Diaries.

For the launch of State of Decay 2, we created an interactive campaign that laid bear the most dangerous part of a zombie apocalypse: humanity.

Phase 1: Seed the stories

Two video diaries. 18 months after the collapse of society. A pair of survivors record their daily lives, capturing the choices they make, the consequences they face, and how their fates collide.

Phase 2: Engage influencers

Camcorders were sent to influencers inside backpacks of scavenged goods. The hope was their savvy followers would piece the dueling stories together. They did.

Phase 3: Tweet your own apocalypse

What’s more frightening than an apocalypse? Making a thread of Twitter threads that became a choose-your-own-adventure story for fans. Still have nightmares.
