Hi. I’m Andy Holdeman.
A freelance writer and creative director.
I’ve spent 10+ years launching campaigns, products & the occasional record-breaking human cannonball.
I made my bones on award-winning work for one of the most iconic video games of all time. An apocalypse. And saving coral reefs.
Plus, global brand campaigns for Under Armour, Xbox & Solo Stove (not the Snoop Dogg thing though, sorry). A banger for the Women’s World Cup. A stupid pun with Arnold. Baseball’s first LGBTQ-friendly uniforms. An insane livestream series. All things digital for Apple’s App Store and Arcade.
I love a good line break.
Also: a rugby film about a guy I don’t know who plays a sport I don’t understand. Some inside-baseball billboards. A pirate museum. And brand positioning/messaging for Capital One, Masterclass & LinkedIn.
Oh, and I won a Northern California Regional Emmy for honoring Barry Bonds despite being a long-suffering Colorado Rockies fan. Talk about guts. Or masochism.
Like all ad writers, I have heaps of ideas for bad screenplays and unsellable greeting cards.
My favorite quote is, “Don’t be humble. You’re not that great.”
Sometimes people ask if I can do funny. I say, “Yes.” Then I fall down some stairs to prove it.
